Rapid Response (CECOM R2)
The CECOM Rapid Response Project Office is chartered by the Deputy to the Commanding General, Communications-Electronics Command, to execute a unique, competitive, streamlined business process that allows United States Federal Government managers to acquire contractor-provided services. The CR2 Project Office provides a unique support service that can facilitate all federal government managers rapidly execute their requirements as identified by their mission objectives. The CR2 Project Office support service is above and beyond those normally available at federal agencies.

Satisfied, repeat R2 customers include all DoD services, the State Department, Transportation Department, NOAA, NASA, and others.

     - Eight year contract

     Base period 2 years (through 31 January 2005)

     Three 2-year options (through 31 January 2011)

  The CR2 contact is a fast and simple method to get a project on contract

     - The CECOM R2 Project Office (CR2PO) and the prime contractor do all the coordinating to get the contract awarded

     - Approximately three weeks (19 days) turn around time

     - The CR2PO charges approximately 1.5% for their services
